Our 40th anniversary concerts

This year is Budleigh Salterton Ladies Choir's 40th Anniversary  and to mark the occasion we are performing  two concerts: the first in Budleigh Salterton on the 22nd May and again in  Exmouth on the 8th June. The choir was founded in 1984 by the inimitable Pam Jones, who sadly passed away age 99, earlier this year. The picture of us in long skirts was taken in 1990 when the Exmouth Journal covered our success at the Devon and Exeter Music Festival where we sang "The Galway Piper" and "Torrents in Summer". Well times have changed and this year our Musical Director, Nick Perry has chosen music popular back in the 70's and 80's - Abba, The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, Elton John as well as songs from the musicals - Les Miserables, Barnum,  and Evita.

Every year we perform two concerts with guest artists as well as performing in retirement homes in the Budleigh and Exmouth area.  We currently raise £1000 a year for our chosen charities.

In honour of Pam Jones this year we are raising money for  Hospiscare.
